My next Baby Step will be portion control with my snacks. I have four boxes of Thin Mints and I will make them last for several months. Last year, I went through one box very slowly, just two cookies a day! And I know that I can do it again.
I do have some very special Thin Mints. A few weeks ago, one of my former co-workers e-mailed me, asking where she could get the “good” Thin Mints. I have not had the good ones in a few years. See, the Girl Scouts get their cookies from two bakeries, and the Little Brownie Bakers’ Thin Mints are by far the best. Sadly, our area uses the other bakery.
My co-worker just had a baby a few months ago, so I figured I would help her out and find the good ones. And I wanted them for myself. I tracked them down to Lancaster County, about an hour or so from my home. My husband, J, just happened to be going on a trip to Hershey, so I asked him to pick up a few boxes.
To keep a long story form getting any longer, I just received six boxes in the mail from a cookie sale coordinator who also works in a grocery store. And I owe her some money for shipping.
Four boxes for me, two boxes for my co-worker. And I hope that they last a very, very long time.
